Netsmart Data Entry Clerk At SOAR365 – Richmond, VA 23227-U.S.A

PURPOSE: Data entry that is focused on creating Plans of Care in Netsmart for Pediatric Therapy

DESCRIPTION: The data entry clerk will work on a project team to transfer data from the Legacy system to the new Electronic Care system as part of a new system conversion. Primary responsibilities include reviewing client data, creating Plans of Care, verifying the accuracy of all data entered, and reporting status to the project manager.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works in a project team environment to review and enter client data and supporting documentation into a new Electronic Care System for the agency in support of a system conversion effort.
  • Reports to the Director of Pediatric Therapy and performs data entry tasks assigned from her and the project team’s project manager, who is leading the new system implementation effort.
  • Creates client Plans of Care in the Electronic Care System by copying/pasting data from a legacy system into the new system using a new plan format.
  • Verifies the accuracy and completeness of all data entered and new plans created by comparing printouts from both systems.
  • Resolves minor processing problems; seeks assistance from the Director of Pediatric Therapy and the project manager or other appropriate staff for issues beyond immediate expertise.
  • Maintains confidentiality of personal health information.
  • Effectively works with volunteers / interns in the business unit to achieve the mission of the organization while providing a meaningful opportunities for the volunteer(s) / intern(s) to contribute in a manner they find rewarding. Treating volunteers & interns as valuable members of the SOAR365 team.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to the Director, Pediatric Therapy and is assigned to a team where a project manager assigns tasks.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of Electronic Health Systems or Case Management Systems is preferred.
  • Excellent and precise data entry and fast typing skills.
  • Proficient in using keyboard shortcut keys to copy/paste data between two web-based applications.
  • Basic understanding of databases.
  • Proficient in using two monitors running two separate web-based applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate a web-based Electronic Care System.
  • Proficient with Google Chrome web browser.
  • Ability to focus on repetitive, detailed data entry tasks to ensure high quality of the data entered.
  • Excellent command of English, both oral and written and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in word processing tools and spreadsheets; Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Windows or related software.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Ability to work independently.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier and fax machine. No significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Touch-typing system strongly preferred.
